With this edition we have restructured and redesigned the book. Three main focus areas are distinguished: EA specific topics, modelling languages and methods. In order to do justice to the title "Compendium", the individual topics are described as independent information units in order to present the information to the interested reader in a concise and concise manner. The structure of the individual chapters is designed so that a serial reading of all chapters as well as a targeted reading of individual chapters is possible. References to other chapters help to read up on missing knowledge.

Important and memorable points were summarized and marked. There are practical examples to follow up on almost every topic. Since there is not only one truth and often personal preferences play a role, we did not want to withhold them from you and have spiked the book with comments from different people.

The book title is called Compendium to Enterprise Architect by Sparx Systems, but also looks beyond the horizons of Enterprise Architect and also considers approaches, methods and extension possibilities which EA does not offer or does not offer in the form, but which can be implemented with EA. You will learn how to use the EA as your modeling platform and how to integrate EA into your tool chain. The goal should be that EA becomes your tool and supports your approach and processes to implement your modeling approach
